Who I am

I was born and raised in a village in Friesland, The Netherlands. My dad was a milkman and, during the day, he made home deliveries while my mother ran the shop. I used to help them both. From a young age onwards, I learned to be accommodating and helpful to our customers, and I was never afraid of hard work.

It was not self-evident that I would go on to higher education. I took the long, roundabout way, following different types of education, finally ending up at university. 

I started my career as a psychologist by working for a number of P&O departments as a training and development officer.  Subsequently, I worked as a management trainer at an consultancy firm for 10 years, where I taught both leadership courses and team training courses. In 2006 I started my own company. 

I have completed the following (certified vocational) training:

• Degree in Developmental Psychologie and a degree in Industrial Psychologie at the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht
• Train the Trainer at Schouten en Nelissen (1,5 years)
• Practitioner NLP at the IEP-institute(1 year)
• Family- and Organizational Constellations at Hellingerinstituut (1,5 years)
• Energetic Coaching at the ITIP-institute (4 years)
• Dreamwork at the ITIP-institute (1,5 years)
• Train the trainer MBSR (Mindfulness Bases Stress Reduction) 
• Deep Democracy at Human Dimensions, level 1,2,3
• Somatic Experiencing Nederland (3 years international certified program)
